How can a dietitian help you?

Evidence-Based practice with ongoing support

Dietitians are university qualified experts in the field of nutrition. Our Fremantle dietitian will take into consideration all that we know about food and nutrition as well as take the time to understand your personal concerns, your relationship with food and your body.

A dietitian can help if you feel out of control around food or if you feel you’re faced with so much information that you feel unsure of what to do. If you’ve tried diet after diet but keep ending up back where you started, then a dietitian can help you build an eating pattern that will last.

You’ve had success with diets in the past, but you’re tired of having to go on them again and again? Or maybe you’ve done so many diets that you don’t know what’s what anymore.

Having troubles with your gut? You were having some bloating and made some changes to your diet. At first things seemed to improve, but now you’re having more trouble – bloating, gas, diarrhea, constipation. You just can’t seem to get it back to normal?

If you’re having concerns about what you should be eating, then a dietitian is the best source of support.

True Body Dietitians will help to cut through the noise of friends, family, and social media, to help you have confidence in knowing how to eat to serve you best. We pride ourselves on helping clients to create changes to their intake that they feel good about and can sustain.

Emma Walkey

Emma is an Accredited Practicing Dietitian (APD) and Sports Dietitian, with experience in chronic diseases, disordered eating, and working with athletes.

Emma provides evidence-based and personalised nutrition advice, that is practical and realistic for the client. She believes that knowledge about food and nutrition needs to be accompanied with the skills to buy and prepare food in order for lifelong, healthy habits to occur.

“My experience competing in a variety of sports has been key. It has allowed me to see how sports nutrition knowledge, practical skills, an understanding of the many factors affecting ability to adequately fuel the body, and the pressures placed on some athletes to look a certain way are all essential to helping someone with nutrition”
